ADAM ZMITH – WRITER/TALKER/THINKER/MAKER
Adam is one of the producers behind The Log Books, a podcast about LGBTQ+ history, which has been named Best New Podcast at the British Podcast Awards 2020.
In this talk Adam will share some of his favourite stories from the podcast, and Britain’ s queer history, using moving and evocative sound clips from the series, and photos from the Switchboard archive.
The talk covers a range of experiences and identities from the LGBTQ+ family. It helps to inform us all about our queer history, and to welcome allies into understanding their LGBTQ+ colleagues and family members.
Plus plenty of time for questions!
NUH LGBTQIA+ STAFF NETWORK
The LGBTQIA+ staff network aims to work in partnership with trust management to create a safe and inclusive environment for healthcare and work.
The network aims to support staff and promote recognition of the differences between sexual orientation and gender identity and works proactively to address these.
The Staff Network meets once a month on MS Teams and anyone is welcome. Meetings dates/ times and joining instructions are found via the staff network intranet page.
