West Midlands Steering Group

Paul Eaves-Seeley (he/him)

Mitchell & Butlers PLC

Network Chair

I have had the privilege of being involved with Alliance from its very concept and was at our first meeting with 3 others.  I love working with people from many different organisations and I really appreciate all the time everyone commits to making the Network a success and our events happen.

I work at Mitchells and Butlers in our HR Team and one of my responsibilities is to lead on Diversity and Inclusion.  I am part of our LGBTQ+ employee network M&BeYourself and proud of what we have achieved. Everywhere I have worked I have always taken a proactive role in setting up or growing employee networks, which I believe have a really important role to play.

Dee Wallis (She/they)

Trans Activist

I took voluntary redundancy in 2013 having previously worked as a professional engineer and have since taken on a range of roles in the voluntary sector.  I am currently a trustee of Birmingham LGBT and also assist in the running of several trans organisations.  I am transgender.

I organise the monthly Transcend social night at venues in the Birmingham gay village and regularly attend other trans and non-binary events in the local region and around the UK.  I am trying to improve the visibility of trans+ people, to enhance provision and support for them, and to grow networking between trans groups and with other LGBT+ groups across the West Midlands and beyond.
